Experteer Overview
As a senior DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer on our DB2 Support Team, you’ll lead and operate a large, distributed DB2 environment to ensure availability, performance and security. You’ll collaborate with development, operations and security teams to drive upgrades, DR planning and optimization across multiple subsystems and regions. The role combines hands-on administration with strategic initiatives to maintain a resilient, scalable DB2 infrastructure. You’ll work in a diverse, innovative culture that values ownership and continuous improvement.

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments
• Support a large-scale DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems
• Plan and execute DB2 upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
• Provide Level 2/3 support for DB2-based applications
• Ensure DB2 stability, availability, and performance
• Manage DDF and distributed DB2 connectivity
• Tune OLTP performance with CICS and DB2
• Develop and test backup, recovery, and DR procedures
• Enforce storage management, archiving, and retention
• Ensure DB2 security controls and audit/compliance
• Collaborate with application teams on design and resolution
• Maintain documentation and operational standards




• Provide on-call support for incidents and maintenance
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Drive automation, performance optimization, and operational excellence
• Maintain supported versions of DB2 and monitoring solutions

Responsabilidades
• 8–15+ years in IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with DB2 for z/OS focus
• Experience supporting large-scale DB2 environments with multiple subsystems
• DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on with CICS and DB2 in high-volume OLTP settings
• Experience with DB2 for z/OS, z/OS, SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF
• DB2 connectivity (DDF) and DDF-related troubleshooting
• DB2 performance monitoring, capacity planning, backup/recovery, disaster recovery
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; excellent communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience in banking/financial services or mission-critical environments preferred
• Mainframe tools and security administration knowledge (ACF2, RACF)
• Familiarity with IBM DB2 for z/OS certifications preferred
