In this role, you will lead the DB2 for z/OS systems program within our DB2 Support Team to ensure highly available, secure, and performing DB2 infrastructure across a large enterprise. You will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to drive upgrades, DR planning, and performance improvements. The position focuses on maintaining a complex estate with 50+ subsystems across regions, delivering reliable database services and strategic initiatives. • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments
• Support a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems
• Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades and migrations
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for DB2-based applications
• Ensure stability, availability, and performance of DB2 databases and infrastructure
• Support and manage Distributed Data Facility (DDF) and distributed DB2 connectivity
• Maintain optimized OLTP environments using CICS and DB2
• Monitor performance and implement tuning recommendations
• Perform capacity planning and growth forecasting
• Develop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Ensure storage management, archiving, and retention processes
• Implement and manage database security controls and access governance




• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database/infrastructure issues
• Collaborate with application teams on design, deployment, and problem resolution
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Maintain supported versions of database and monitoring solutions

Responsabilidades
• Typically 8 to 15+ years of IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with strong DB2 for z/OS administration and support
• Proven experience with large-scale DB2 environments and multiple subsystems
• Expertise in DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or other mission-critical environments preferred
• Hands-on experience with CICS and DB2 in high-volume OLTP settings
• Strong DB2 for z/OS, z/OS, SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF
• Experience installing, upgrading, testing, and supporting DB2 releases
• Experience providing Level 2/3 support for DB2-based applications
• Knowledge of Distributed DB2 Connectivity (DDF)
• DB2 Performance Monitoring and Tuning, Capacity Planning, Backup/Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Security Administration
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
