Experteer Overview
In this role you will design, administer, and support IBM DB2 on z/OS within a general, 24x7 enterprise. You will collaborate across IT and business teams to meet SLAs, drive automation, and improve operational efficiency. You will lead security, HA, DR, and release management, ensuring compliant, resilient database services. This position offers impact through modernization initiatives, cloud integration, and enterprise-scale data strategies.

• Understand business requirements and translate them into DB2 specifications
• Provide production support and release management for Db2 environments
• Design and maintain physical database structures and configurations
• Build, review, test, and support application database releases
• Implement and manage RACF/ACF2 DB2 security rules and access controls
• Establish and maintain High Availability and replication setups
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to deliver stable services
• Support migrations, upgrades, and data conversions
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve database issues
• Offer performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning guidance




• Coordinate with project teams during implementations and release cycles
• Participate in infrastructure modernization and data center migration programs
• Support database evergreen initiatives including upgrades and patching
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort
• Ensure ITIL processes, change management, and governance compliance

Responsabilidades
• 8-12 years of hands-on IBM z/Mainframe DB2 administration experience
• Deep understanding of Db2 architecture, backup, and recovery
• Production support and database release management experience
• Strong DB2 performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization skills
• Knowledge of RACF/ACF2 security administration and access management
• Experience with High Availability, DR, and replication technologies
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem)
• Exposure to automation and process improvement
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
