Settlements Intern | Operations | Based in Barcelona

Every FX transaction Kantox processes has to settle correctly, on time, and without gaps. The Operations team is the function that makes that happen, and we are looking for a Settlements Intern to sit at the heart of it. This is not a passive internship. You will manage real operational workflows from day one while actively contributing to the automation initiatives that are shaping the future of our department.

We are currently shifting from manual workflows to a Tech-First Ops model, and we need an intern who can do both: manage daily payments and help build the automation that scales the team.

What you will work on
- Processing incoming and outgoing transactions and ensuring payments are released and processed without delays for our clients
- Assisting with bank enquiries and working closely with our banking partners to resolve settlement queries and payment processing issues
- Supporting Kantox collateral exposure and client margin call processing
- Recognising manual tasks and helping turn them into automated,



scalable workflows
- Maintaining organised records and compiling data to assist with ad-hoc reporting requests

The setup

You will be based in our Barcelona office, working within the Operations team at the centre of daily FX trading and payment operations. You will work closely with experienced operations specialists and get direct exposure to how a fintech processes transactions at scale, while contributing to the automation roadmap that is defining the next phase of the department.

Who you are

You have a solid academic background in finance or a related field and a genuine interest in financial markets and banking systems. You are detail-oriented, comfortable working under operational pressure, and curious about how technology can replace manual processes.
