Key Responsibilities

As an Academy Intern, you will support the team responsible for ECDA’s Toolbox, a resource hub for progressives as well as our trainings and workshops. The role is a good opportunity for anyone no matter your age or profile who are looking to build a career in progressive politics, movement building and campaigning.

Tasks:

- Provide day-to-day support for our training program
- Responding to participants’ questions and providing them with materials and answers.
- Sending out reminders to participants with homework, training materials and their readings.
- Tracking new participant registrations and welcoming them to the course.
- Providing moderation support during our online trainings, including managing the chat, Q&A; box and breakout rooms.
- Produce and present reports for internal teams, including survey evaluations and reports on our trainings.
- Support with the research of Toolbox resources
- Desktop research and interviews with practitioners on campaigning topics and case studies such as email writing, social media, digital organizing, strategy and more. See our Toolbox for more of the type of resources we produce.
- Editing support for presentations, blog articles and case studies.
- Proof reading and copy editing of our materials.

Your profile

- Remote working : Comfortable and efficient when working remotely.
- Progressive political interests : Interested and active in progressive politics, digital organizing, social media, or canvassing with a political party, trade union and/or NGOs.
- Adult learning & capacity building : An interest in adult learning & knowledge sharing as a means for building the capacity of progressives.
- Skills : Strong written and verbal communication.



Excellent time management skills.
- Digital skills : Experience with or ability to become familiar with Zoom, ActionNetwork, Canva, Vimeo and Google Suite.
- Curious : Eager to learn new skills, both soft and hard, and finding innovative solutions to challenges as that arise.
- English language : An excellent level of English, both written and spoken. This is our primary working language, both internally and for the content we produce.

Nice to have:

- Fluency in another European language is a strong advantage (particularly German, Spanish, Italian or French).
- Experience of working or volunteering in a political party
- Experience with any CRMs (We use ActionNetwork) or LMS (learning management systems).
