Powertrain Competitive Costing Project Manager We are looking for a Powertrain Competitive Costing Project Manager to join the Benchmark and Product Intelligence team in the automotive powertrain sector. The main goal of this project is to analyze and compare the costs of powertrain systems and components against competitors, providing strategic insights to optimize design and processes and maintain integral competitiveness. Collect data for cost analysis using internal and external teardown information.
Maintain a database of benchmarked cost data for current and future projects. Prepare detailed should-cost analyses and gap analyses. Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and finance teams to validate assumptions and ensure data accuracy.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 7 years in powertrain cost analysis within the automotive industry. Expertise in cost benchmarking, teardown analysis, and competitive intelligence. Proficiency in costing software (preferably Siemens Costing). Ability to interpret technical and financial data. Project management experience.
Fluent
English; Spanish and/or French is a plus. Cost benchmarking and teardown analysis.
