Job Overview

General tasks

Support the coordination and conduct of research projects involving agricultural field trials (pesticide evaluation).

Support the local business interests for the Field Trials Group. This is a pan-European operation managed from the UK with sites across the EU and UK.

Job Specific Requirements

Sense of ownership, being responsible for the quality of the work and raw data produced.

Ensure and follow sound scientific methods and proper control procedures.

Responsible for ensuring that his/her work is conducted in accordance with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Training will be provided.

Responsible for ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained for him or herself and his/her colleagues by observing all safety procedures and working methods, by making proper use of protective clothing and equipment and by reading, understanding and following all safety documents issued or notified to him.

Responsible for reporting immediately to their local Management any anomalous observations and equipment malfunction not immediately correctable, any data integrity issues, or any factor which will in any way impede the normal scheduling of any Charles River study.





Assist the local Field Trials Manager in ensuring any experiments with agrochemical test items comply with the appropriate regulations or guidelines.

Other Requirements

Degree or relevant further education An understanding of agronomy / crop protection.

Proactive and well organizedExcellent communication skills both written and verbal in Spanish and EnglishTraining in the Principles of GLP and Field Trial conduct will be provided. Any prior experience would be desirable but not essential.

Team playerRecord keeping, data management and reporting expertise

Proficient in working to exact project specifications

Communication skills, ensuring information is regularly shared with colleagues and management

Driving license and ability to travel in The Netherlands and Central Europe

Computer skills (data management)
