Senior Data Engineer in the Drug Development Data Platform (3DP) helps advance AstraZeneca’s antibody discovery by delivering scalable, cloud-based data solutions. You’ll work on AWS-based ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and data infrastructure while collaborating with globally distributed teams. The role blends hands-on engineering with stakeholder-facing communication to set expectations and drive delivery.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and processing
- Develop and maintain REST APIs for system integration
- Support stakeholders with technical data guidance
- Maintain AWS base infrastructure
- Tune SQL queries and pipelines for performance
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency




- Investigate data issues and resolve end-to-end pipeline problems
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry practices
- Maintain and refine a front-end application

Responsabilidades

- Solid development skills in Python, Git, and versioning
- Experience with big data, ETL, cloud tools on AWS (Python, Terraform, Glue, S3, SQS, ECS)
- Automated testing mindset
- Hands-on AWS experience
- DevOps-first with GitHub/GitHub Actions or similar
- SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred) xugodme
- Experience triaging and resolving tickets
- Experience in a globally distributed team
- Ability to document development best practices
- Experience in API design (REST, documentation)
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
- Ability to provide technical guidance within data and analytics teams
- Great interpersonal skills and collaboration
- Some front-end exposure (JavaScript/TypeScript) with focus on data/backend
