DWS’s data infrastructure team provides the secure, scalable and trustworthy foundation for storing, processing and distributing critical enterprise data. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and platform components that power decision-making, reporting, and enterprise analytics. You will work closely with data governance teams, platform engineering, and business stakeholders to raise the bar on data quality and reliability.
As Senior Data
Engineer - Snowflake, you will: Design and implement robust ELT pipelines using dbt on Snowflake, following established data modeling standards Build and maintain data products for core domains including fund accounting, positions, NAV, and regulatory reporting Define and enforce data contracts, expectations and alerts with Design and develop infrastructure components in Terraform or other IaC and infrastructure automation tools Collaborate with architects, security engineers, control functions, the Chief Data Office and other stakeholder to improve compliance, security posture and reliability 10+ years of experience in data engineering roles ~ Deep hands‑on expertise with Snowflake, including architecture, performance tuning, Snowpark, OpenFlow and Streamlit ~ Strong dbt proficiency (models, macros, packages, testing, deployment)
~ Very strong Python skills for pipeline development and tooling ~ Experience with common enterprise data modeling, such as dimensional modeling, SCD or Data Vault ~ Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP), StreamSets and Airflow ~ Previous exposure to data governance tooling (e.g. Understanding of asset management and the financial services data domain would be a plus ~ Fluent in English (written and spoken) ~ Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
