At ING Hubs Spain we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Java Developer to join our DDoS Squad within the Global Security Organization (GSO). The responsibility of this team is to design, develop and maintain software solutions that manage firewall rules and strengthen the security of ING's global network infrastructure. Our way of working is based on Agile and DevOps principles, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and end-to-end ownership.

As a Java Engineer, you will: Design, develop and enhance software functionalities using Spring Boot and Java technologies. Build and deploy solutions following CI/CD best practices and automated deployment pipelines. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to planning, refinement and continuous delivery activities.

Maintain and improve software documentation, operational procedures and development standards. Monitor and optimize Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management processes. These are some of the qualities that we value the most for this role.

Proven experience developing applications with Spring Boot (preferred) or Java EE. Working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or OpenShift. Understanding of security and risk principles applied to software development.

Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Helm, Terraform and Ansible. Professional and intellectual IT capability, ideally supported by a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Excellent spoken and written English skills. Knowledge of network and security environments. Scripting experience in Python, Bash or PowerShell.





Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Understanding of Scrum frameworks and ceremonies.
