Morgan Philips is partnering with a tech company to recruit a Senior Manager Global Procurement .
Reporting directly to the CFO, this person will lead the day-to-day operation of the global Procurement function, drive the transformation of its tools and processes, and develop a Madrid-based team of Category Managers.
This is a highly hands-on position for an experienced Procurement leader who enjoys taking an active role in complex negotiations while building a scalable and business-oriented operating model.
Key responsibilities
- Lead complex, high-value negotiations across SaaS, cloud, enterprise software, IT and professional services.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including scoping, RFx, evaluation, negotiation, award and contract execution.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of savings initiatives, with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Act as the main escalation point for strategic negotiations, supplier disputes and contractual risks.
- Lead the transformation of Procurement processes, including intake, approval workflows, purchase-to-pay and contract lifecycle management.
- Drive the selection, implementation and adoption of modern Procurement technology.
- Improve spend visibility, savings tracking and supplier performance reporting.
- Develop category playbooks, sourcing frameworks, contract templates and supplier onboarding standards.
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal and IT to embed Procurement across the organisation.
- Coach and develop a team of Category Managers, raising the quality of negotiations,
category strategies and overall execution.
Requirements
- Approximately 8–12 years of experience in Procurement, including at least 3–4 years in a senior, lead or team management position.
- Strong experience within a technology, software or SaaS environment.
- Deep knowledge of technology-related spend categories, particularly SaaS, cloud, enterprise software, IT and professional services.
- Proven experience negotiating complex, multi-year contracts in international environments.
- Demonstrable involvement in a Procurement transformation, such as a platform implementation, workflow redesign or operating model build.
- Experience managing and developing Procurement professionals.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including spend analysis, savings modelling and business-case development.
- Experience using modern Procurement platforms such as Coupa, Zip, SAP Ariba or equivalent.
- Fluent English is essential.
- Availability to work from the Madrid office three days per week.
