Our client is a leading technology company specialising in high:speed optical communication, developing gigabit and multi:gigabit transceivers for automotive, industrial and home networking applications.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Senior Mixed:Signal IC Design Engineer to join their Spanish engineering team.

The Role

You will take a key role in the development of advanced mixed:signal ICs, working across the full design lifecycle from architecture and specification through schematic, layout, verification, silicon and characterisation.

Your responsibilities will include

:Specification and design of analog and mixed:signal blocks, including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, data interfaces and optoelectronics.

:Full AMS design flow from system:level design and schematic through layout and extracted:level verification.

:Define layout guidelines and review layout implementation.

:Collaborate with test engineers on silicon characterisation and validation, analysing lab data and correlating results with simulations.





:Support integration of analog subsystems with complex digital logic and mixed:signal verification.

:Develop system:level models and contribute to product:level characterisation.

:Research new architectures and technologies and contribute to patent generation.

:Present technical work and contribute to design reviews and documentation.

:Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.Requirements

:MSc/PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.

:5+ years experience in analog/mixed:signal IC design.

:Strong hands:on experience across the full analog IC design flow.

:Experience with 65nm, 28nm or below CMOS technologies.

:Strong knowledge of full:custom analog layout and extracted:level verification.

:Experience with Cadence or Synopsys analog/mixed:signal EDA tools.

:Experience taking designs through silicon, characterisation and productisation is highly desirable.
