In this Founding Engineer role, you will help launch a new Factorial spinoff focused on AI-first IT management workflows, onboarding, permissions, and equipment management. You’ll own high-impact initiatives from day zero, shaping architecture and delivering usable AI-powered features. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to move fast, learn from real customers, and build a product that scales with a growing user base.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering role in a small, ambitious startup inside Factorial.

- Own major initiatives and define quarterly roadmaps for the domain

- Review code daily and provide feedback across the team

- Bridge non-deterministic outputs to actionable team decisions
- Explain complex technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to building agentic workflows and LLM-enabled features

Responsabilidades

- 4+ years in software engineering
- Experience shipping AI-powered features
- Strong Ruby on Rails backend and React frontend skills
- Ability to reason about LLM architecture tradeoffs and probabilistic systems
- Comfort reviewing and discussing code xugodme with colleagues of varying levels
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions in clear English
- Experience integrating AI models into scalable environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort working from scratch in an early-stage setup
