The position
The RES Global Graduate Programme is a two-year development programme designed to provide graduates with meaningful work experience, professional development and exposure to different areas of the renewable energy industry.
Over the course of the programme, graduates will complete three rotations of approximately eight months each across different teams, functions or business areas. Each rotation is designed to build technical capability, commercial awareness and leadership potential while helping graduates develop a broad understanding of RES and the renewable energy industry.
Graduates will work on real projects, collaborate with experienced colleagues and be encouraged to take ownership of their development while making meaningful contributions to the business. Through a combination of structured learning, practical experience and professional development opportunities, graduates will build the skills and experience needed for a successful long-term career at RES.

Role Purpose
This track of the RES Global Graduate Programme is based in Albacete, Spain, within the Services Finance organization. Over three rotations, the graduate will gain broad, practical exposure across the three teams within this structure – Business Finance, Global Business Controlling, and Accounting – building core finance skills, business partnering and reporting experience, stakeholder engagement and analytical capability.
Rotation 1: Business Finance
Accountabilities
Support monthly and quarterly business performance reporting and variance analysis for the South Europe region, working alongside the Business Finance Analysts and Business Controllers
Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles, helping to consolidate and check input from across the region
Contribute to financial models and ad hoc analysis that support business decisions and contract reviews
Coordinate with regional finance colleagues to gather and validate data used in reporting packs
Learn financial modelling, business partnering and presentation skills from the Head of Business Finance and senior analysts
Rotation 2: Integral Business Controlling
Accountabilities
Support the Global Business Controlling organization with consolidation of business controlling and management reporting data
Assist with preparing management reports and reporting packs, checking data quality and consistency
Help analyze variances between actual and budgeted or forecast performance, and flag items for further review
Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting tools, templates and processes used across the wider Finance function
Learn how global business controlling and management reporting support decision-making across the business
Rotation 3: Accounting
Accountabilities
Support the Accounting team with elements of the month-end close process, including reconciliations and ledger maintenance
Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation for statutory and internal reporting
Help respond to queries from auditors, tax advisers or other stakeholders, under supervision
Contribute to process improvement and control checks within the accounting function
Learn the fundamentals of statutory accounting from the Accounting Manager and the wider regional finance team
Knowledge and Skills
Interest in expanding your knowledge of the renewable energy industry
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to adapt to your different placement cycles with ease
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with confidence using Excel and financial systems
Ability to build effective working relationships with finance, operations and business stakeholders
Fluency in Spanish and English, given the team's regional and cross-border ways of working
Curiosity to understand how financial information supports commercial and operational decision-making
Qualifications
Expected to achieve, or have recently completed, a bachelor’s degree in the disciplines below. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong academic performance (a grade average of 7 and above is preferred) and a genuine interest in the renewable energy industry.
