As Staff Software Engineer in Cloudera's Data Services Pillar, you provide technical leadership and architectural direction for the streaming domain. You will shape a cloud-native platform for ingesting, processing, and analyzing massive message streams, collaborating with general teams. You translate complex problems into scalable, secure solutions while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction. This role combines distributed systems expertise with cutting-edge streaming tech to impact real-time data applications at scale. You’ll engage with open source communities and drive adoption across product teams, customers, and partners.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for cross-functional streaming initiatives
• Develop expertise in Apache Flink, Cloudera Streaming, and the streaming ecosystem
• Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable features for a cloud-native streaming platform
• Lead technical design discussions and make architectural decisions across distributed systems and APIs
• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex engineering projects from concept to production
• Collaborate with PM,



UX, Support, Documentation, SRE, and other teams to deliver quality outcomes
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the organization
• Partner with field engineering and customers to understand use cases and enable product adoption
• Contribute to best practices around scalability, reliability, security, observability, and testing
• Represent Cloudera in open source communities and contribute upstream where appropriate
Responsabilidades
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building scalable, distributed, cloud-native software
• Strong Java skills and Java ecosystem knowledge xqbhyrx
• Significant experience with Apache Flink or similar streaming tech
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern cloud-native architectures
• Ability to provide technical leadership without formal management authority
• Experience driving multi-team technical initiatives
• Mentoring track record and influence on technical direction
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
