VHIR is seeking an experienced Laboratory & Quality Manager within the Rheumatology Research Group.

Main responsibilities and duties:
- Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient and compliant management of biological samples.
- Guarantee the correct functioning of all laboratory processes within the framework of the established Quality Management System.
- Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of quality procedures, documentation, and internal audits.
- Prepare technical reports, operational records, and documentation required for certifications, inspections and internal and external audits.




- Manage external communication with researchers, institutions, and stakeholders regarding laboratory services and procedures.
- Collaborate in the drafting and preparation of research project proposals and related scientific documentation.
- Act as liaison with the Research Ethics Committee, coordinating submissions, follow‑up, and communication related to ethical approvals.
- Supervise and coordinate logistics related to biological national and international sample transport, documentation, biosafety compliance.
- Ensure and maintain strong, fluid, and constructive relationships with clinical collaborators.
- Coordinate laboratory personnel, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or a related field
