The Challenge
Based in Llodio and reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting business decision-making through robust financial analysis, process improvement, and the coordination of cross-functional initiatives.
This is a highly transversal position: you will operate across functions and geographies, partnering with stakeholders, and balancing Group standards with the realities of each business. Beyond technical rigour, it requires sound judgement, adaptability, and the ability to build consensus and move initiatives forward in a complex environment.
In addition, you will serve as the main financial counterpart for the European Business Unit, working closely with both the Finance team and the BU Managing Director to support performance and strategic alignment.
In this role, you will contribute across four key areas:
- Business partnering & cross-functional coordination:
- Support business leaders by translating financial data into business-relevant conclusions
- Act as the trusted finance counterpart to the Business Units, balancing Group requirements with local realities and resolving friction pragmatically
- Contribute to the execution and monitoring of cross-functional finance projects
- Reporting & financial analysis:
- Analyse financial and operational performance across Business Units, identifying risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare reports and presentations for management committees and corporate forums, providing clear and actionable insights
- Contribute to reporting to capital markets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Projects & transformation:
- Drive improvements in financial processes, focusing on efficiency, automation, and digitalisation
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system developments
- Collaborate in internal and external audits
- Regulation, M&A; & sustainability:
- Support corporate growth initiatives, including due diligence, integrations, and PPA activities
- Support the implementation of new accounting and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Pilar 2, CSRD/ESRS)
- Support sustainability-related reporting and non-financial information processes
The Key Requirements & Competences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field
- 6–10 years of experience in finance roles with increasing responsibility
- Experience in audit (Big 4) and/or multinational industrial environments is highly valued
- Strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities
- Experience with SAP and reporting/BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, consolidation)
- Experience in M&A;, integrations, or corporate finance projects is a plus
- Diplomacy and stakeholder management: ability to influence without authority, manage tension between functions,
and reach pragmatic agreements.
- Resilience and adaptability: comfortable operating in ambiguity, reprioritising quickly, and handling pushback constructively.
- A genuine service-oriented mindset towards the Business Units, balancing Group standards with local needs.
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
