Experteer Overview
In this role you will support ongoing operations at Lonza’s Porriño site, building hands-on expertise in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You’ll work with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to develop process knowledge, drive safe and compliant operations, and contribute to improvement projects. You’ll lead mid-complexity projects, support IQ activities, and help transfer processes into the facility. This position offers meaningful impact on manufacturing performance and product quality.

• Develop technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and processes with guidance from experts
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, time, and yield of manufacturing processes
• Participate in design, implementation, commissioning, and qualification of site projects
• Act as Process Engineering Lead on medium-complexity projects coordinating team members
• Support installation qualification for new and modified equipment and systems
• Collaborate with Production, MSAT, Quality, and Program Management to resolve issues
• Provide technical support for process equipment and systems and assist in troubleshooting
• Support deviation investigations and CAPA implementation
• Assist with tech transfer of new processes into the facility
• Develop knowledge of cGMP and safety requirements and ensure procedures are followed
• Prepare and review technical documentation for engineering projects and manufacturing processes
• Participate in on-call rotation to support manufacturing operations
• Lead by example in critical tasks, promote safe practices, and mentor new hires
Responsabilidades
• Degree or MSc in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Some relevant experience in process engineering, preferably in regulated industrial sectors; internship or placement valued
• Interest in a career in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and process engineering
• Familiarity with fluid processing equipment (pumps, valves, piping, tanks) is desirable
• Knowledge of unit operations such as CIP/SIP, chromatography, UF/DF, bioreactors, centrifugation, HVAC, or utilities
• Exposure to engineering projects, commissioning, qualification, or process improvement is desirable
• Good understanding of safety and quality principles; knowledge of cGMP is an advantage
• Spanish and English proficiency
