KULT FARM develops new protein foods through mycelium solid-state fermentation technology. We are a venture-backed food-tech startup building sustainable alternatives without compromising on taste, texture, or price.

Our mission ? is to foster the world’s transition to a sustainable food system- without asking consumers to compromise on taste, texture, or price.

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Founder’s Associate to work directly with our Co-founder and CTO.

Role & Responsabilites

- Support our co-founder and CTO across multiple projects of very diverse nature, including
- Support fermentation optimisation, pilot production, and process scale-up.
- Develop prototypes and support sensory evaluation.
- Analyse technical and operational data, and prepare reports.
- Coordinate projects with laboratories, suppliers, co-manufacturers, and research partners.
- Implement AI tools and support grants, investor materials, project management, and administrative work.

Personality
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and able to take ownership of ambiguous problems.
- Comfortable with changing priorities in an early-stage startup.
- Hands-on, practical, and comfortable working across lab, pilot production, office, and external projects.
- A strong communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Curious,



scientifically rigorous, and willing to challenge assumptions constructively.

Qualifications

Required

- Completed master’s degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical, Industrial or Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
- !! Fluent Spanish and professional English is a must !!
- Ability to work full-time, on-site in Barcelona.

Desirable

- 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in fermentation, mycelium, solid-state fermentation, alternative proteins, or food development.
- Experience in pilot-scale production, manufacturing, process optimisation, or scale-up.
- Familiarity with food safety, HACCP, quality systems, microbiology, analytical methods, grants, technical writing, or startup environments.
