We are looking for an experienced Category Buyer to join an international project within the Indirect Purchasing – External Services area. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships and negotiations, and driving cost optimization, quality, service, and risk improvements.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for external service categories.
- Lead supplier selection and evaluation processes through RFI, RFQ and RFP, including commercial and contract negotiations.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, identifying improvement, consolidation, and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Drive cost optimization and value creation initiatives, including TCO analysis, savings tracking, and procurement KPIs.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, HR, Operations, Legal and Quality to translate business needs into effective procurement strategies.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or Category Management,



ideally within the automotive or industrial sector.
- Strong experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, SRM and category strategy development.
- Experience in indirect service categories such as IT & Telecommunications, Professional Services, HR, Facility Management, Logistics or Consulting Services.
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI and Microsoft 365; experience with spend analysis and procurement digitalization is a plus.
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
