Overview Senior Data Engineer opportunity within Airbus Helicopters (Albacete, Spain). The successful candidate will join the Data & Analytics team and act as a Developer within an Agile Release Train. You will build high-performance data products and applications that bridge our industrial core (SAP BW) with our advanced big data ecosystem (Palantir Foundry), playing a critical role in the digital continuity of the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer.

Agile Delivery: Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, System Demos, Sprint Retrospectives) and collaborate within a cross-functional Agile Team to deliver increments that meet the Definition of Done. Data Engineering (SAP Focus): Design and develop complex data models within SAP BW (on HANA / BW/4HANA). Manage back-end extractions (ABAP, CDS views), transformation logic, and optimize queries for large-scale industrial datasets.

Data Engineering (Foundry Focus): Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines in Palantir Foundry.

Utilize

PySpark and SQL to transform raw data into a structured Ontology that supports operational decision-making.

Hybrid Integration: Ensure seamless data flow between SAP landscape and Palantir environment, maintaining data integrity and low latency. Built-in Quality: Apply DevOps and DataOps principles. Perform peer code reviews, automated testing, and maintain technical documentation for long-term maintainability of the data platform.



Contribute to Enabler stories to improve the architectural runway of the Data & Analytics platform.

Experience: 5 to 10 years in Data Engineering, with a focus on SAP BI and Palantir Foundry. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

SAP BI Expert: Extensive hands-on experience with SAP BW. Proficiency in ABAP for ETL, HANA Calculation Views and AMDP scripting.

Palantir Foundry Specialist: Proven track record in Foundry (Data Connection, Code Repos, Pipeline Builder, Workshop).

Coding: Advanced Python (PySpark) and SQL.

Agile: Strong understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodologies.

Team Player: Comfortable in a collaborative Agile environment, sharing knowledge and supporting teammates to achieve iteration goals. Analytical mindset for troubleshooting data discrepancies across hybrid systems. Fluent in English; Spanish is an advantage for local site integration. Attractive salary and hybrid working model.
