It also requires new more efficient ways of delivering our services and for the successful candidate to demonstrate their ability to identify and implement innovations that maintain delivery to programme and commercial targets. Given this, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Spain to take a leading role in the delivery of complex UK water and wastewater projects,



acting as a technical authority for the discipline within multi‑disciplinary design teams. Leading the development and technical assurance of mechanical design deliverables, ensuring an appropriate balance of time, cost, quality, and risk across one or more projects Managing the delivery of your projects to budget and programme, including monthly reporting Report writing and preparation of presentation materials Acting as a technical reviewer and checker, providing engineering judgement on complex or non‑standard solutions, and supporting discipline leads with risk‑based design decisions Mentoring and supporting the development of junior and mid‑level engineers, including technical guidance, informal review, and contribution to capability building within the team Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent Proven experience in the design and specification of mechanical equipment for water and wastewater treatment, such as pumping systems, package plant, treatment processes, or comparable complex industrial systems Experience leading mechanical scopes within projects, with exposure to programme, cost, and risk management.
