SAP Data Migration Lead – SAP ECC to S/4HANA

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Working Model: Hybrid, onsite every second week

Contract Length: 9 months + long-term S/4HANA transformation

Start Date: ASAP An excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Migration Lead to join a major international SAP S/4HANA transformation programme for a leading global brand .

This is a senior, business-side migration role with responsibility for country data migration across multiple rollout markets and core data domains including Business Partner, Material and Finance .

You will act as the main interface between local subsidiaries, business data owners, functional teams and the central migration workstream, ensuring data is cleansed, validated, reconciled and ready for each migration cycle and go-live.

The role will work closely with the implementation partner migration lead, who owns the central transformation and load execution, while you drive country readiness, local validation and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Own country-related data migration activities across the ECC to S/4HANA programme

Lead local data mapping and source-system clarification with rollout countries

Coordinate extraction, cleansing, validation and reconciliation activities

Drive data quality monitoring and validation sign-off before and after migration loads

Coordinate country readiness across mock loads, dress rehearsals and cutover

Work closely with business data owners, process champions and functional workstreams





Partner with the implementation migration lead on transformation, load execution and MDM coordination

Lead master data preparation across Business Partner, Material and Finance domains

Ensure local requirements remain aligned with the general template and governance process

Support regression testing, new process testing and local user training

Track migration defects, risks and readiness across rollout markets

Support post-go-live stabilisation and data quality improvements

Requirements

10+ years of relevant SAP data migration or master data experience

Proven experience leading the business or country side of data migration within at least one full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation

Strong experience leading migration workstreams, teams or country rollout activities

Extensive experience with SAP master data and country migration

Strong knowledge of SAP data structures across SD, MM and FI/CO

Functional experience with Business Partner, Material and Finance master data

Strong knowledge of data cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation

Experience coordinating migration activities across multiple countries or subsidiaries

Experience supporting mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover and final migration

Strong stakeholder management across business, IT and implementation partners

Fluent English
