Context

Our client, a company operating in the services sector, is looking for a Senior Finance Manager (H/F) - Madrid to lead the Finance function in Spain.

Reporting to Group Finance and working closely with the local management team, you will represent the Group Finance function in Spain. You will operate in a fast-growing and transformational environment involving acquisitions, post-acquisition integration and the creation of new legal entities.

You will oversee the local Finance team and ensure that accounting, financial, tax, administrative and treasury processes are aligned with Group standards.

Mission

You will be responsible for the following activities:

- Represent the Group Finance function in Spain.
- Implement Group financial governance standards across the local entities.
- Support the creation of new legal entities in Spain.
- Lead the financial integration of companies currently being acquired.
- Oversee accounting production and ensure reliable monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
- Improve the reliability of financial reporting provided to the Group.
- Produce clear, relevant and actionable management information.
- Lead the budgeting, reforecasting and variance analysis processes.




- Manage treasury activities and cash-flow forecasting.
- Oversee local tax matters, including VAT, local taxes and regulatory compliance.
- Manage, structure and develop the local Finance team.
- Support the Finance team’s development as the business grows.
- Design and implement a Shared Services Centre.
- Bring 100% of local invoicing activities in-house.

Required profile

- Higher education degree in finance, accounting, audit or management.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate finance.
- Significant experience in Finance transformation, Finance function structuring, ERP change or post-acquisition integration.
- Strong command of accounting, financial reporting and closing processes.
- Expertise in budgeting, reforecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of treasury management and cash-flow forecasting.
- Good knowledge of Spanish taxation and local regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing and structuring a Finance team.
- Experience creating or developing a Shared Services Centre.
- Fluent Spanish is mandatory.
- Professional English is mandatory.
