The Barcelona Institute for General Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR




ISGlobal is looking for an experienced individual who will support the quantitative analysis of a few datasets issued by Spanish authorities and apply health impact and burden of disease assessment methodologies and modelling to estimate attributable burdens of disease in local contexts and under differing counterfactual scenarios.
The modeller will perform health impact assessments (HIA) and burden of disease analyses across various Spanish contexts, utilizing innovative modeling and simulation techniques. This person should be familiar with environmental exposure modelling, particularly of exposures related to the urban environment (e.g. air pollution, noise, green space, heat) and has expertise in epidemiological health risk scaling and modelling. This person should be familiar with Global Burden of Disease (GBD) methodologies and concepts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct quantitative analyses, including health impact assessments (HIA) and burden of disease evaluations.
Collaborate closely with colleagues on the development and management of studies and datasets, performing rigorous statistical, HIA and burden of disease analyses.
