An international financial-services organisation is seeking an experienced UX Engineer to join its FX Pricing & Hedging team. This is a hands-on role combining user-experience design, front-end development, and user-facing documentation for an electronic foreign-exchange trading platform.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Traders, Sales teams, Support, and Engineers to turn complex trading workflows into intuitive, high-performance interfaces. Your work will help improve user productivity, reduce operational risk, and create a consistent experience across the organisation’s trading applications.

Responsibilities

- Design user journeys, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes for FX pricing, trading, risk, and operational workflows.
- Develop production-ready front-end interfaces using modern web technologies.
- Build reusable UI components aligned with an established design system.
- Integrate front-end workflows with backend services and real-time market or trading data.
- Optimise interfaces for responsiveness, accessibility, browser compatibility, and performance in low-latency environments.
- Partner directly with Front Office users and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective UI solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, design reviews, testing, and releases.
- Maintain and evolve the platform design system, including component libraries,



interaction patterns, layouts, typography, colours, and icons.
- Produce and maintain user manuals, feature documentation, workflow diagrams, onboarding materials, quick-reference guides, and user-focused release notes.

Required Experience

- Senior-level experience designing UX for enterprise software applications.
- Strong hands-on front-end development experience.
- Background in Financial Markets, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or a comparable trading environment.
- Experience working directly with Front Office stakeholders, such as Traders and Sales teams.
- Proven ability to convert complex business requirements into clear, practical user-interface solutions.
- Experience documenting user-facing software functionality in a structured and accessible way.

Technical Skills

- Strong experience with React and/or Angular.
- JavaScript, including ES6 .
- HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS.
- REST API integration.
- Responsive UI development.
- Familiarity with design systems, reusable component libraries, and accessibility standards.

Financial Markets Knowledge

Experience with one or more of the following is highly valued:

- FX trading or electronic trading platforms.
- Treasury, pricing, market data, trade-capture, order-management, or risk-management systems.
- Trading workstations and real-time data environments.
- FX Spot, FX Forwards, FX Swaps, and NDFs.
