About the role

For one of our clients in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced AI Solutions Engineer / AI Specialist who combines strong technical capabilities with a consulting mindset.

The role will contribute to the development of an innovative AI-powered application. We are looking for someone who can understand complex business needs, identify where and how AI can bring value, recommend the most appropriate approach, and turn those recommendations into a working solution.

This position is idóneo for someone comfortable working both at a strategic/advisory level and hands-on with the technology.

Your responsibilities

- Understand and analyse business needs and translate them into practical AI solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on the most appropriate AI approaches and technologies for their needs.
- Design, develop and implement AI-powered applications and solutions.
- Create and work with AI agents and intelligent workflows.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept and help turn successful concepts into functional solutions.
- Assess different AI tools, technologies and approaches and recommend the most suitable options.
- Connect AI capabilities with relevant data, tools and existing systems where needed.
- Identify technical opportunities, challenges and limitations throughout the project.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders.
- Clearly explain technical recommendations and decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Take ownership of solutions from initial concept through design, development and implementation.





What we're looking for

- Professional experience in AI, Generative AI, AI engineering or AI solution development.
- Proven hands-on experience building AI-powered applications or solutions.
- Experience designing or developing AI agents or agent-based solutions.
- Strong software development and technical problem-solving capabilities.
- Good understanding of current AI technologies and their practical applications.
- Ability to assess different technologies and determine which approach is best suited to a particular business need.
- Ability to move from idea and recommendation to actual development and implementation.
- Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technical solutions.

Nice to have

- Experience building AI solutions from initial concept through implementation.
- Experience working on complex applications involving multiple systems or data sources.
- Experience bringing AI prototypes or Proofs of Concept closer to production.
- Previous experience in energy, utilities or other complex technical environments.
- Experience working in consulting or in a client-facing technical role.
