- Descripción: The British College of Gavà is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Secondary History Teacher to join our growing international school on a maternity cover basis from October 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school with exceptional purpose-built facilities. The successful candidate will be passionate about History, committed to student achievement and wellbeing, and keen to contribute to the wider life of our school community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver engaging, challenging and inquiry-based History lessons.
- Plan and differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Assess, monitor and provide effective feedback on student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Use technology effectively to enhance learning.




- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and assessment.
- Contribute to pastoral care, extracurricular activities and wider school life.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
- Engage in professional development and uphold the school’s values and safeguarding policies.

Requisitos

- Requisitos: - A degree in History or a related subject and a recognised teaching qualification.

- Experience teaching History at secondary level.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for inspiring young people.
- Strong classroom management, organisation and communication skills.
- The ability to differentiate effectively and set high expectations for students.
- Confidence using ICT to support teaching and learning.
- A collaborative, adaptable and positive approach.
- A strong commitment to student wellbeing and continuous improvement.
- **IB Diploma Programme, IGCSE
