About the Role
As a Contract Manager, Sales based in Madrid, you will support Elsevier's sales contracting activity by preparing, reviewing and negotiating sales contracts, amendments, renewals, order forms, terms and conditions and related legal documents. Support of LATAM Sales will be part of the support. You will be part of a One Team approach, working in close collaboration with Sales, Legal, Account Support and Finance to enable compliant commercial outcomes,



strong customer experience and operational efficiency.
This role suits someone who is building and demonstrating a strong contracting profile: technically accurate, commercially aware, responsive and confident using Elsevier templates, policies, toolkits and approval routes. You will be expected to identify deviations from approved positions early, assess contractual risks thoughtfully, and bring practical recommendations rather than only escalating questions.
The position is based in our Madrid office.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating sales contracts and related documents, including order forms, amendments, renewals and customer terms, in line with Elsevier templates, fallback positions, policies, and approval requirements.
- Supporting Legal and Sales by identifying non-standard terms, missing protections, approval requirements and other contracting risks clearly and early.
