Senior Product Manager, 3D‑Printed Smart Mouthguards (Impact Sensing & Concussion Risk)

Role Summary

We’re partnering with an external company to build a next‑generation 3D‑printed mouthguard platform with embedded impact‑assessment sensors to help detect and mitigate concussion risk. As Senior Product Manager, you will own the product strategy working with a cross‑functional team that spans materials science, sensor integration, data analytics, clinical validation, and commercialization. You’ll synthesize clinical, technical, and market insights into a clear roadmap, quantify business cases with rigor, and drive outcomes through influence across the enterprise.

This role benefits from our scale and track record in digital dentistry and advanced 3D printing,



as well as our connected product ecosystem (e.g., Invisalign, iTero, exocad). You will leverage those capabilities to bring a safety‑critical sports/dental device to market responsibly and at pace.

This position is fully based onsite 5 days per week at the Align Madrid office.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and continually refine the multi‑year strategy for smart mouthguards, including MVP scope, phased feature releases (impact metrics, thresholds, alerting), and data services.
- Translate VoC (athletes, coaches, clinicians, parents) and VoB into requirements; maintain a prioritized backlog tied to measurable outcomes.

Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Co-ordinate with a matrixed core team across Regulatory, R&D;, Engineering, Software, Manufacturing (Cubicure), Quality, and Commercial from concept through launch; establish operating cadences, programs, and decision forums.
