Working Pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day . This role is operational and customer facing, so employees are required to work fully onsite. We support versátil working arrangements where possible, including part-time and varied working hours, while maintaining an onsite presence. AWE is currently recruiting for a Facility Manager to join our Facilities Management Team. Working closely with operational leaders, technical specialists, project teams and service providers, you will be a trusted advisor on facility performance, compliance, work control and operational risk.




The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of operational facilities within one of the UK's most highly regulated and safety-critical environments. You will play a key role in ensuring facilities remain safe, secure, compliant and available to support operational delivery, whilst leading the provision of integrated facilities management services.
As Facility Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day management of an operational facility portfolio.
- Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and available to meet business and programme requirements.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of hard and soft FM services in accordance with defined service standards.
- Act as the focal point for facility users, building strong relationships and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Provide authoritative advice on compliance, duty holder responsibilities and operational risk.
