PhD: "Decarbonization Strategy"

This PhD Program is a collaboration program between SEAT and the Ramon Llull University (IQS) where strategic research projects are carried out.

About the Project:
This Industrial PhD project aims to develop a robust analytical framework for lifecycle emissions tracking and decision support within an industrial environment.

The research will focus on enabling data‑driven sustainability decisions across the product lifecycle, supporting the identification and prioritization of high‑impact, low‑cost decarbonization actions.

The outcomes of the project will contribute to:
- Improved regulatory readiness
- Optimization of sustainability and decarbonization investments
- Strengthening the company’s long‑term competitive positioning

Required Qualifications:




- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Environmental, Energy or similar) and Master’s degree in Environmental, Sustainability or related disciplines. Average score higher than 6.5.
- Interest in research within the business world
- Advanced Spanish and English.

Experience & Skills (valued)

Experience or strong knowledge in:
- Sustainability, decarbonization or circular economy
- Carbon footprint analysis and/or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
- Applied industrial or research projects

Strong analytical and data analysis skills

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

Other requirements
- High motivation for sustainability and climate transition
- Ability to work autonomously with critical thinking
- Proactive, problem‑solving mindset
- Interest in interdisciplinary environments (industry-university)
- Knowledge of LCA software and/or Python is a p
