About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Civil Engineer specializing in road and highway design to join their fully remote team, serving projects originating from Queenstown . This role involves the conceptualization, design, and technical oversight of transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet modern engineering standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop geometric layouts for new roads, highways, and interchanges.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and quantity take-offs for road projects.
- Conduct traffic analysis and impact studies to inform design decisions.




- Ensure designs comply with relevant national and provincial road design standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate virtually with stakeholders, including government bodies and construction firms, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve design modifications and respond to technical queries from construction teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in road and highway design.
- Proficiency in road design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MXRoads, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO or relevant South African road design standards.
- Experience with traffic engineering principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and virtual collaboration skills.
