An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Installation Tendering Engineer to join a growing team. The successful candidate will drive the technical and commercial preparation of complex mechanical installation tenders while collaborating closely with procurement, engineering, and production departments. Key duties involve analyzing technical specifications to generate accurate cost estimates, undertaking foundational calculations for HVAC and hydraulic systems, and selecting appropriate mechanical equipment. Additionally, the adecuado candidate will evaluate supplier quotations and develop value-engineering solutions to optimize project budgets without compromising technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse tender documents, technical specifications, drawings and project documentation.
- Prepare technical and commercial tenders for mechanical and HVAC installations.
- Carry out measurements and prepare project cost estimates.
- Undertake basic calculations and sizing of mechanical systems, including:
- HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Chilled water systems.
- Pipework, pumps, valves and associated equipment.
- Ventilation and extraction systems.
- Ductwork and air distribution.
- Drainage and condensate systems.
- Select and price mechanical equipment including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion vessels, dry coolers and fan coils.
- Request and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
