Presales Data Architect – Modern Data Stack & AI

Location: Spain – 100% Remote

Salary: €40,000–€60,000 gross/year

About the Role

Do you enjoy designing complex data architectures but also have a strong interest in the business side of technology? Are you comfortable explaining not only how a solution works, but why it makes sense for the client?

We are looking for a Presales Data Architect with a strong consulting mindset to join our team in Spain.

This is not a role where you will simply prepare presentations and hand projects over once a deal is won. You will play a key role throughout the technical presales process: designing solutions for strategic tenders, validating technologies through Proofs of Concept (PoCs), advising clients, and working closely with delivery teams to ensure that proposed solutions can successfully become reality.

You will also act as a technology and innovation advisor, exploring developments across the Modern Data Stack, Cloud and Generative AI and identifying where they can create genuine business value.

What You'll Be Doing

Data Architecture & Presales

Translate complex client challenges and business requirements into modern data architectures that are scalable, secure, cost-effective and commercially viable. You will contribute to and lead the technical design of key proposals and tenders.

Solution Storytelling & Technical Presentations

Turn complex technical solutions into compelling business narratives. You will present and defend solutions in front of clients,



demonstrating technical feasibility to engineering teams while clearly communicating business value and ROI to senior stakeholders.

Strategic Advisory & Hands-on PoCs

Act as a trusted technical advisor by conducting architecture assessments, providing technical consultancy and rapidly developing Proofs of Concept to demonstrate the value and business impact of proposed technologies.

Bridge Between Presales & Delivery

Ensure that what is sold can actually be built. You will work closely with delivery and engineering teams during the early stages of projects to ensure that the proposed architecture and technical vision are successfully implemented.

Technology & Innovation Radar

Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and approaches, including Generative AI, open data formats and new Modern Data Stack capabilities, helping us maintain a strong technological advantage.

What We're Looking For

- 4–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or in a similar role, working on real-world data warehousing and/or modern data architecture projects.
- Strong knowledge of modern data architecture patterns and concepts, including Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh and ELT architectures .
- Deep understanding of the Modern Data Stack and experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP .
- Experience with technologies such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery and/or Microsoft Fabric .
- A strong DataOps mindset , applying software engineering best practices to data environments.




- Ability to combine deep technical knowledge with a consultative, business-oriented approach.
- Fluent English , with the ability to understand tender documentation, prepare technical proposals and communicate confidently with international partners.
- Native or bilingual Spanish .
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline is valued. However, relevant professional experience matters more to us than having a specific degree .

Nice to Have

We would especially like to hear from you if you also have:

- Previous experience working directly with clients in Presales, Consulting or client-facing technical roles , including interaction with C-level stakeholders.
- Cloud or data ecosystem certifications such as dbt Analytics Engineering, Databricks, SnowPro Core, GCP/AWS Architect , or similar.
- Experience or strong knowledge of Generative AI , including RAG, vector databases and LLMs.
- Understanding of emerging GenAI-for-data practices, including LLMOps .
- Knowledge of modern web architecture and end-to-end integrations.
