As a Communications Systems Product Manager at Airbus Defence u0026amp; Space, you will oversee the engineering and integration of airborne communications systems across multi-programme contexts. You will work within the Communications Architectures department to coordinate L1/L2 design, verification, and certification activities, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets. You will engage with customers and internal teams to validate requirements and manage system reviews and baselines. This role offers exposure to leading aviation platforms and a mission-driven environment focused on resilient, secure communications in airspace contexts.

• Coordinate overall communications system engineering activities (time, cost, quality)
• Lead L1 design and documentation for comms systems
• Support L1 integration, verification, certification and qualification efforts
• Contribute to other transport aircraft programmes' architecture activities as needed
• Manage L1/L2 technical baselines and technical reviews
• Support progress reviews and customer discussions
• Participate in configuration management and interface with customer committees
• Coordinate L2/system contributions and design reviews
• Validate L2 documentation (SRDs, SDNs, EIRDs, SIDs) from Comms teams
• Lead L1 verification requirements and coverage matrix




• Support L1 certification and qualification plans and evidences
• Coordinate system reviews for comms systems
• Ensure configuration control of associated systems
• Maintain awareness of compliance risks and act with integrity

Responsabilidades
• Engineering degree (PhD/Telecommunications highly valued)
• u003e5 years experience in system engineering or communications/avionics roles
• Knowledge of at least one platform family (Transport A/C MRTT, C295/CN235/C212, A400M or UAS Atlante/Neuron)
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes (DPs/ABDs) for specified platforms
• Knowledge of airworthiness/certification processes (EASA/INTA)
• Experience with comms disciplines (voice radios, IP/digital comms, tactical datalinks)
• Awareness of cyber security implications for airborne platforms is a plus
• Project management and planning skills; ability to produce reports (DOORS, DMS)
• Model-based systems development experience (Simulink, Matlab, CAMEO)
• Strong problem solving, decision making and assertiveness
• Fluent in English and Spanish
