About Stark

Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.

We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.

Stark will become the general market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed

Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution.

This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.

The Role

We are looking for a Production Test Engineer to keep the electrical test stations on our Battery production line running.

This is a hands-on, shop-floor role. Every pack that passes through your stations before it leaves the factory, and the line depends on those stations being available, calibrated and trusted. Your job is to run and maintain them, diagnose failures fast, tell a real product defect apart from a station or fixture problem, decide what happens to failed units, and get the line moving again.

The role will execute the released processes, keep them healthy, troubleshoot what goes wrong, and feed real production data and problems back to engineering so they can be fixed at the root. You will have engineering support behind you — you will not be designing test systems from scratch.

What You’ll Do

- Collaborate on design of semi-automated end-of-line tests systems.

- Lead assembly, maintenance and continuous improvement activities of semi-automated end-of-line tests systems.

- Improve testing systems for existing products by adding capabilities and expanding test coverage, among others.

- Define timelines, milestones, and testing requirements for new product prototypes in the early phases of their introduction into the Technica portfolio.

- Generate technical documentation for test equipment, including user manuals, test coverage reports, and verification guides.

- Generate production reports using statistical tools to track KPIs and identify manufacturing issues.

- Analyse PCBA schematics and understand full product functionality to diagnose failures and repair line rejects.

- Generate accurate periodic reporting of project status and blocking points for the introduction of new products.

- Keep work instructions and station documentation up to date and actually usable on the floor.

- Support engineering during the ramp-up of new stations and the introduction of new product variants: run the trials, collect the data, report what does not work in real production, and help transfer the station into routine production.

What you will bring to Stark

- A degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering — or a higher technical qualification (FP grado superior / equivalent) backed by a strong hands-on track record.

- More than one year working in a production or manufacturing environment on electrical test, end-of-line test, or test station support and maintenance.

- Hands-on experience in a real series production line

- Experience with batteries and HV testing equipment.

- Comfortable reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and test station documentation.

- CAN bus fundamentals and diagnostics ability

- PLC experience at diagnostic level (Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT or similar)

- Spanish and English fluency.

Nice to Have

- Experience specifically in electric vehicle or e-mobility manufacturing.

- Deeper BMS knowledge: architecture, balancing strategies, state estimation, and how those show up in EOL test results.

- SQL, or experience pulling test data out of a database or MES directly.

- Experience using a test sequencer (NI TestStand/LabVIEW, or a C#-based framework) as a user — able to follow a sequence, find where it failed and describe it to engineering.

- Experience with MES or traceability systems in series production.

- Exposure to quality tools from the production side: 8D, control plans, SPC, Gauge R&R.;

- Leak testing on sealed battery enclosures.

- Knowledge of applicable standards for HV vehicle products (ECE R100, relevant IEC/EN safety requirements).

Why work with us?

- The chance to work on a product people are genuinely passionate about
- A fast-growing company with real momentum
- A creative, international team based in Barcelona

- Competitive salary and benefits package

- Direct access to riders, race teams, and the product — this is not a remote-from-the-product role

- Subsidized lunch in our in house restaurant

- Free access to our in-house gym (including weekends!)

- 30 days of paid vacation
