For this year's edition, the vacancies within these teams will be based in the following locations: Madrid and London.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
As part of Santander Future Talents: Santander CIB Graduate Program Europe - Investment Banking - Financing & Capital Structure Solutions, you will work across a broad financing platform that brings together four complementary areas. Each team addresses a different part of clients’ funding and capital structure needs, from bespoke structured solutions and bond markets to leveraged financing and syndicated bank debt. Depending on the team and transaction, your responsibilities will include:
Structured Finance: Structured Finance provides strategic advice and bespoke financing solutions for corporations and institutional investors, helping clients achieve funding and capital structure objectives across areas such as Debt Advisory, Infrastructure Finance, Fund Finance, Asset Finance and Debt Restructuring. You will support the analysis and structuring of complex financings, including financial modelling, due diligence, credit assessment, transaction materials and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Debt Capital Markets (DCM): Debt Capital Markets advises corporate,
financial institution and public sector clients on accessing bond markets across different currencies and formats. The team supports funding strategy, issuance timing, tenor, ratings considerations, liability management and investor positioning. You will contribute to market analysis, pitch materials, pricing work, investor feedback, roadshow materials and the execution of benchmark, private placement and other debt issuance transactions.
Leveraged Finance (LevFin): Leveraged Finance delivers tailored financing solutions for private equity sponsors and corporate clients, particularly for acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, refinancings and recapitalisations. The platform combines leveraged loans and high-yield bonds with structuring and capital markets expertise. You will assess business plans, cash-flow generation, capital structures, leverage capacity and downside scenarios, while supporting credit papers, financial models, committee materials and transaction execution.
Syndicated Loans: Syndicated Loans advises clients on bank financing and the optimal use of syndicated debt across investment grade, crossover and leveraged borrowers. The team structures and executes facilities such as revolving credit facilities, term loans, bridge loans and acquisition financings, coordinating distribution across a group of lenders. You will support origination, structuring, underwriting and syndication, including lender presentations, information memoranda, pricing analysis, bookbuilding, allocations, documentation and closing processes.
Cross-team execution: Work closely with coverage, credit, legal, syndicate, sales, markets and other product teams across European geographies to coordinate analysis, approvals, documentation, distribution and transaction execution.
