Reporting to: Accounting, Administration & Audit Manager
Based in: Madrid
The selected professional will lead all accounting and administration activities across X-ELIO’s Spanish entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong business partnering in a fast-growing renewable energy environment.
What will you do?
Lead accounting and administrative operations for Spain, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS,
Spanish GAAP (PGC), and internal policies.
Coordinate external audits, tax processes, and relationships with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
Lead, develop, and manage a team of four accounting professionals providing mentoring, training, and establish performance goals to drive the team’s success.
Drive process optimization, automation, and digitalization initiatives, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and AI-based tools.
Partner with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Development, and Construction teams on complex transactions, project accounting, M&A;, and financing activities.
What do we need?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
+5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within multinational environments.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC); experience in renewable energy or project-based industries is a plus.
