Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant to join our research team at INAB (Institute of Advanced Neuroscience of Barcelona) in our Barcelona laboratories. The adecuado candidate should have a background in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, and a strong interest in experimental research on perception, consciousness, emotions, and human behaviour.
The position is suitable for a versatile profile who can support different stages of the research process, including experimental preparation, data collection, laboratory recordings, basic analysis, and support in scientific documentation.

Responsibilities

Support the design, preparation, and execution of experimental protocols.
Assist during laboratory recordings using techniques such as EEG, fNIRS, biosensors, eye-tracking, or behavioural tasks.
Perform basic processing of research data.
Support the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, ethics documentation, and publications.
Collaborate with researchers, engineers,



and technical staff in ongoing projects.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and research protocols.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Interest in the fields of perception, consciousness, cognition, and emotions.
Ability to follow experimental protocols with accuracy and attention to detail.
Good organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
Basic knowledge of research methods, experimental design, or data analysis.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Motivation to learn and contribute to a growing research environment.
