VHIR is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Rheumatology Research Group and support the activities of the IMID-Biobank.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Handling, processing and storage of biological samples and associated data
Maintaining laboratory paper and electronic records
Performing basic maintenance and monitoring of laboratory equipment.
Stock control of consumables and reagents Managing stock and inventory of consumables and reagents.
Providing experimental and technical support to researchers and investigators
Education and qualifications:
Required:
CFGS (Higher-Level Training Cycle) - FP2 Laboratory technician or equivalent
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (written and spoken)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Previous experience in biobanking and molecular biology
Experience in tissue processing
Experience working with automated laboratory equipment
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Access)
Desirable:
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: October 2026.
Gross annual salary: €20,000.00 – 22,000.00 Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities.
Duration: 2 years
