The Role

We are supporting a PE-backed services business in its search for a senior interim professional to lead a major cost reduction and restructuring programme across its Spanish operations. The business employs approximately 2,000 people in Spain and operates in a highly people-intensive environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of the programme, drive initiatives through hands-on execution and ensure savings translate into measurable P&L; impact.

External advisors and project resources are available, but the business requires a senior leader who can personally drive implementation, maintain pace and close the execution gap. This is a full-time engagement for approximately 6–12 months, requiring regular presence in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and hands-on execution of a major cost reduction and restructuring programme.
- Identify and prioritise cost-saving opportunities and translate them into concrete initiatives and financial targets.
- Drive initiatives through implementation and ensure savings translate into measurable P&L; impact.




- Lead organisational and workforce restructuring in a people-intensive services environment.
- Establish clear programme governance, tracking and accountability.
- Coordinate external advisors and project resources while retaining ownership of execution.
- Work closely with senior management and the PE-backed shareholder to maintain pace and alignment.

What We Are Looking For

- Significant experience leading cost reduction, restructuring, performance improvement or transformation programmes.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience delivering substantial cost savings in services or other people-intensive businesses.
- Strong experience with organisational and workforce restructuring, including familiarity with the Spanish labour environment.
- Seniority and execution capability to independently own a major transformation programme.
- Proven ability to translate restructuring objectives into measurable financial results.
- Experience working with senior management and demanding stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
- Availability to work full-time with regular presence in Madrid.

Nice to Have

- Direct experience with Spanish labour restructuring and collective workforce processes.
- Experience in PE-backed businesses or working directly with private equity shareholders.
- Experience in tech-enabled services, financial services, BPO, processing or similar people-intensive businesses.
- Background in restructuring, performance improvement, value creation or senior operational leadership.
