Your mission as our Labour Administration Specialist Hero will be to:
- Coordinate the daily tasks of the team.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish employment legislation, applicable collective agreements and European regulations.
- Draft and oversee employment contracts and necessary documents (vital in the software sector).
- Lead the implementation and updating of mandatory internal policies: Equality Plans, Pay Registers, Harassment Protocols and digital disconnection policies.
- Manage relations, administrative procedures and any requirements with the Labour Inspectorate, Social Security and the Public Employment Service (SEPE).
- Coordinate with the payroll agency to carry out payroll processes, variable payments, performance-related bonuses and severance payments.
- Process new hires, resignations, changes to personal details, temporary sick leave and parental leave in coordination with the external payroll agency.
- Supervise and improve other areas of the administration area (such as Versátil Remuneration package, attendance records …).
- Advise employees and managers on day-to-day queries regarding legislation, payroll, holidays, taxation of benefits and leave of absence.
- Collaborate with necessary people to coordinate processes, strategies… for example Finance Director, People Director, and so on.
- Manage and analyse a wide range of data.
Your superpowers:
- Education:
Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources, Law (specialising in labour law) or Labour Studies.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ demonstrable experience independently managing the payroll cycle and providing employment advice, ideally in companies within the technology sector, software start-ups or IT consultancies.
- Expert knowledge of current Spanish labour legislation.
- Excel skills (for cost analysis, payroll records, and analysis of indicators and KPIs).
- Languages: Upper-intermediate English (B2/C1).
- Attention to detail: Zero margin for error when preparing payslips and contracts.
- Empathy and confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive issues with the team in a humane and discreet manner.
- Proactivity.
- Teamwork.
- Good communication skills.

- Experience with payroll and HR management software (e.g. Sage, A3, Workday, Factorial or similar).
- Tech/Agile mindset: Focus on process automation (AI) and aversion to unnecessary bureaucracy.
