As Platform Engineer, you’ll build and operate a scalable Google Cloud / GKE platform to support Europe-wide third-party sellers on our webshop. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to reduce friction, enable self-service, and raise reliability and security. You’ll shape the platform as a product with observable, boring deployments and pragmatic standards. This role offers impact at scale across multiple countries and a hands-on path to technology leadership within MediaMarktSaturn Technology.

• Operate and scale our Google Cloud / GKE platform with emphasis on reliability and security
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps (Flux)
• Make deployments predictable, reproducible, and safe
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and automation
• Ensure strong observability using Prometheus and Grafana
• Treat the platform as a product: enable self-service and pragmatic standards




• Debug production issues with a focus on long-term fixes
• Build small tools or automation in TypeScript/Node. xqbhyrx js when beneficial
Responsabilidades
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in cloud environments
• Comfort with GCP (IAM, networking, clusters) and Terraform for infra changes
• Experience with CI/CD systems (ideally GitHub Actions) and GitOps workflows
• Strong focus on monitoring, alerting, and system debuggability
• Ability to contribute development work (TypeScript/Node.js, pipelines, CLI tools)
• Understanding of modern backend architectures (NestJS, REST/GraphQL, Pub/Sub, MongoDB, Redis)
• Trade-off oriented decision-making
