UCAM is seeking an outstanding
Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomechanics & Sports Performance
to join the Research Center for High Performance Sport (CIARD) and UCAM Hi-Tech.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge research and elite basketball performance. You will contribute to innovative research while collaborating with UCAM Murcia CB, applying scientific evidence to optimise athlete performance, monitor training, and support injury prevention.
Your Mission
Lead the CIARD Biomechanics Laboratory while developing high-impact research, contributing to teaching activities, and promoting knowledge transfer in biomechanics, movement analysis, and sports performance. You will play a key role in bridging scientific research with the practical demands of elite basketball.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the CIARD Biomechanics Laboratory, managing scientific equipment, laboratory resources, and daily operations.
Design and develop research projects in biomechanics, movement analysis, injury prevention, and sports performance.
Conduct biomechanical and functional assessments for athletes using advanced performance technologies.
Participate in national and international competitive research projects and publish high-impact scientific research.




Teach and coordinate postgraduate courses, as well as supervise Master's dissertations.
What We're Looking For
- PhD in Sports Sciences, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong research background with scientific publications in biomechanics, sports performance, or injury prevention.
- Experience participating in competitive research projects.
- Hands-on experience with biomechanical technologies such as force platforms, motion capture systems, electromyography (EMG), dynamometry, and related equipment.
- Previous university teaching experience will be considered an asset.
- Experience collaborating with sports organisations or elite clubs is desirable.
- English proficiency at C1 level.
