Within the Academy, Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) offers a variety of training programmes and experiences on hot topics in urban mobility and transport for professionals and organisations around Europe. In close collaboration with universities, business schools, consultancies and mobility experts, this lifelong learning initiative uses different formats including light online material in a YouTube channel, online courses (asynchronous), and face-to-face (F2F) courses (on-site, online synchronous and blended). The Course Content Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the present and future of UMX. Reporting to the Head of Professional Education, you will support the UMX team in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring full compliance,
and successfully delivering UMX courses in compliance with EIT Urban Mobility and EIT requirements.
You will also drive the future-proofing of the organisation by shaping and developing strategic courses that truly "move the needle" for Urban Mobility in Europe. You will support EIT Urban Mobility's long-term strategy by developing high-impact courses that generate independent value and revenue within our five Priority Domains: (1) shared and public transport (2) sustainable urban logistics, (3) mobility AI and data management, (4) electrification and alternative fuels, and (5) health and mobility.
At EIT Urban Mobility, we recognise autonomous mobility (specifically shared autonomous mobility) as a massive, transformational trend which will fundamentally changing the way we move. As a cross-cutting focus for UMX, you will be uniquely positioned to connect this overarching technological shift with all five of our priority domains, designing truly future-forward training programs that prepare European cities for the next era of mobility.
Keyresponsibilities
- Strategic Content Development & KPI Compliance : Support the successful delivery of UMX courses, ensuring they meet revenue, KPI and compliance requirements. Assist the Head of the Professional Education in developing the strategic framework for new training programs and annual Project Calls. Support the alignment of UMX activities with the company’s Priority Domains,
actively weaving the transformative trend of shared autonomous mobility across these areas to fill critical knowledge gaps and strengthen European competitiveness.
- Strategic Funding & The Autonomous Vehicles Academy: Support the Head of Professional Education and Academy leadership in scouting new grants and funding opportunities to expand our training portfolio. A key immediate focus will be driving the content strategy and foundational program design to support the Academy leadership in pitching a new "Autonomous Mobility Academy" to the European Commission. You will partner closely with the Head of Professional Education to launch and scale this flagship program from the ground up.
- Expert Sourcing, Network Building & Knowledge Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with professional training and mobility experts across Europe. Act as the primary internal "go-to person" for new mobility courses by actively participating in events, reviewing publications, and monitoring trends. Develop and maintain a centralised, organised expert database to ensure institutional knowledge, particularly at the intersection of our priority domains and autonomous mobility, is permanently retained by the organisation.
- Course Supervision & Quality Assurance: Act as the "content supervisor" for a selection of internal UMX courses. Source and select top-tier mobility experts, ensuring their knowledge aligns with our ambitions. Review course content in collaboration with the UMX Digital Learning team to guarantee all courses meet UMX quality standards for content relevance/innovation and learning outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Support: Partner with the UMX F2F Course Business Manager to identify new
