Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Trainee role based in the Greater Badajoz Metropolitan Area. The trainee will support day-to-day banking operations, including assisting teams with client documentation, data entry, and basic financial and market research. The role involves learning Standard Bank’s systems, processes, and compliance standards, while helping prepare reports, presentations, and internal communications. The trainee will participate in structured training programs, job shadowing, and rotational assignments across relevant departments to build practical knowledge of products, services, and risk and governance requirements. The position offers a clear development path for individuals interested in a long-term career in banking and financial services.

Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic financial, market, and data analysis using common office productivity tools.




- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
- Detail-oriented approach, with sound organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated learning agility, problem-solving ability, and openness to feedback and coaching.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and build professional relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Interest in African and integral financial markets and in developing a career within banking and trade-related services.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
