Experteer Overview
In this role you will define and drive the technical roadmap for innovative statistical programming. You will evaluate AI-assisted tools to boost efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance, and replace manual SAS workflows with automated pipelines using R, Python, or emerging tech. You will design reusable tools and guide migration to R/Python-based solutions, while mentoring a team and shaping Shiny applications for dashboards and exploration. This is a chance to lead modern programming practices in a mission-driven biostatistics group.

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for innovative statistical programming practices, tools, and infrastructure
• Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-assisted tools to improve programming efficiency, quality, and regulatory/GDPR compliance
• Identify opportunities to replace manual/SAS-based processes with automated pipelines using R, Python or emerging tech including AI
• Design, build, and maintain reusable tools, macros, packages, and templates to improve efficiency and consistency




• Lead migration/integration of traditional SAS workflows to R/Python-based solutions
• Provide technical direction for the design, development, and deployment of R Shiny applications (interactive tools and dashboards)
• Set standards for Shiny app architecture, modularity (teal), performance, and deployment (Posit Connect)
• Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence

Responsabilidades
• BS or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of statistical programming experience with expertise in R and SAS in CRO/pharmaceutical environments
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role
• 2+ years as supervisor/manager
• Strong proficiency in R for data manipulation, automation, and statistics
• Hands-on track record building tools, macros, or pipelines that improved efficiency or standardization
