Role Description This is a full-time, remote role focused on a European Spanish Transcription Project. The transcription specialist will listen to audio and video recordings in European Spanish and accurately convert them into written text according to project guidelines and formatting standards. Daily tasks include verifying audio quality, segmenting and transcribing speech, applying correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and tagging metadata where required.

The role also involves reviewing and correcting transcripts for accuracy, maintaining consistency with style and linguistic conventions, and meeting established productivity and quality targets.



Collaboration with project coordinators and use of transcription tools or platforms will be part of the routine work to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in European Spanish, with excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation, plus good comprehension of varied accents and dialects.
- Previous experience in transcription, captioning, or linguistic data work, including familiarity with audio/video playback tools and transcription platforms.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to follow style guides, formatting rules, and project-specific instructions consistently.
- Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain productivity in a remote environment.
- Comfort with digital tools and basic technical skills, including stable internet access, secure data handling practices, and proficiency in common office software.
- Familiarity with quality assurance or editorial review processes and a willingness to receive and apply feedback to improve output.
- Relevant experience in language services, linguistics, or a related field; a degree in translation, linguistics, communication, or similar disciplines is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate with a global team, communicate clearly in English or another widely used language, and adapt to new tools and workflows as needed.
