Giromed Institute is looking for a talented and highly autonomous Senior Software Engineer to become a key technical contributor to our Digital Health innovation team.

You will build and shape digital health products from an early stage, with real influence on architecture and technology decisions.

Our projects combine clinical software, AI, physiological data, cloud infrastructure and connected wearable devices.

We care more about what you can build and how you solve problems than about job titles or years of experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs, primarily using Python
- Work with MongoDB and structured clinical and physiological data
- Design and maintain cloud-based architectures
- Develop data-processing and AI/ML components
- Use modern AI coding tools and agents to accelerate development, testing, documentation and refactoring
- Review and validate AI-generated code
- Implement automated testing, Git workflows, Docker and CI/CD
- Make technical architecture decisions and document them clearly
- Integrate external SDKs, APIs and connected wearable devices
- Work with Bluetooth/BLE and physiological sensor data
- Collaborate with external hardware and firmware development teams
- Support and coordinate firmware requirements and device-level integrations
- Work directly with clinicians, researchers and external engineering partners
- Progressively take greater technical ownership of our products

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Strong Python development skills
- Experience building backend applications and APIs




- Experience with databases; MongoDB is particularly valuable
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS
- Git, Docker and CI/CD
- Good understanding of software architecture
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and coding agents
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical judgment
- Ability to work autonomously and learn unfamiliar technologies quickly
- Professional English; Spanish is a plus

NICE TO HAVE

- Machine Learning / AI
- Time-series or physiological data
- IoT, Bluetooth/BLE or wearable devices
- Hardware SDK and sensor-data integration
- Understanding of embedded systems and firmware
- Digital Health or healthcare technology
- Cybersecurity
- ISO 27001 or regulated software environments
- Medical software / GxP experience

Healthcare experience is NOT required. We can teach you the clinical domain.

- €42,000–€50,000 fixed annual salary, depending on experience
